Who Is Roshan?
Who am I? I’m Roshan Jerad Perera. I’ve been working online as a freelance writer for over 7 years and I recently gave myself a promotion to become a content strategist.
In the last 7 years, I wrote thousands of blog posts while working for clients around the world and also developing several blogs of my own.
My first blog, FreshInfos.com wasn’t a huge success. I wrote over 6500 articles for this blog all by myself and managed to grow it to receive over 25,000 visitors and 44,000 pageviews per month. Even though, it didn’t generate enough income for me to even cover my expenses. After 4 years, I decided to shut down that website and venture into something I’m truly passionate about.
My second blog, FreelancingHacks.com is one of the best projects I’ve done so far. It currently has over 1,000 email subscribers, thousands of followers on social media, and receives 6-10K loyal visitors per month. And the blog is only a little over 1 year old.
In the meantime, I also helped develop dozens of blogs of other businesses. Including the blog of a Belgian marketing agency named HiFluence, a New Zealand-based web design agency called Web Industries, a Malaysian-based web hosting company called GoGetHosting, and many others.
I’ve also worked some big entrepreneurs like Yaro Starak. And even provided my writing services for popular blogs such as Design Shack, WPKube, OneXtraPixel, DesingBombs, and more.
I also wanted to get go beyond just freelance writing. So, I started learning about Inbound marketing, content marketing, content strategies, and everything in between. I took HubSpot’s Inbound Marketing and Content Marketing certification courses and passed the exams. Now, I’m looking to share my expertise and services as a content strategist to other businesses and startups.
I’ve been writing online and blogging for long enough to know a thing or two about what I’m doing. But, I still have a lot to learn. I started this blog mainly as a way to document what I’m learning and keep track of the strategies that works and fails.
However, if I could inspire and educate a single mind with this blog’s content, then it would mean the world to me.
If you’re like to know more about me or hire me for work, feel free to contact me.
Keep crafting awesome content!
